Graphite has been a medium I have worked in for the better part of my life. As a kid I remember having a pencil and drawing. I guess this occurred because it was readily available and inexpensive. When I was developing my career in the architectural field, I started out as a “draftsman” and did a lot of architectural drawing in pencil and ink.
So I have going back to using a pencil on a daily bases. When I returned to graphite several years ago I drew portraits of my 8 grandchildren and rendered some with graphite and others with coloured pencil.
Now I’m using these lovely winter days to draw every day and I’ll continue to post my work and the progress of my work here.
