I love painting the sea. There can be so much action and to capture that in a painting is like freezing one moment in time. The challenge in painting seascapes is always to capture that moment and still convey the action of the sea. Standing on a beach anywhere you soon realize that the sea is never still; it is always in motion, moving back and forth; rising up and down; always moving. I attempt to have the viewer look into the painting and sense the action of the sea. This challenge continues.
